The patents protecting the SP-10 antigen and the Human Sperm Diagnostic are:
1) U.S. patent number 5,436,157, issued July 25, 1995, titled “Human Intra-acrosomal Sperm Antigen”, which discloses the SP-10 antigen, the cDNA for SP-10, expression vectors, as well as monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies to SP-10.
2) U.S. patent number 5,602,005, issued February 11, 1997, discloses the method for purification of the SP-10 antigen, cDNAs for monkey and primate SP-10, as well as peptide fragments of the SP-10 antigen.
3) U.S. patent number 5,753,231, issued May 11, 1998, discloses a class of intra-acrosomal human and other primate sperm antigens for use in contraceptive vaccines, a class of monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies to the antigens, and related methods of making and using the antigens and antibodies, including a cDNA expression system for the production of the antigens in vitro.
4) U.S. patent number 5,605,803, issued February 25, 1997 entitled Human Sperm Diagnostic, discloses a kit and method for detecting sperm production in a human male individual includes the provision of one or more antibodies for a sperm-specific protein antigen, such as SP-10, which can be combined with a sample suspected of containing sperm to permit the antibody and the antigen to bind.
